Amy Smith

Amy Smith is an experienced mental health nurse with a strong background in clinical practice, leadership and community mental health. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Monash University and a Master of Mental Health Nursing from the University of Newcastle.


Amy has extensive experience across both the public and private mental health sectors, having worked in a range of clinical and leadership roles. Her previous experience includes managing Crisis Assessment and Treatment (CAT) and community mental health teams within an Area Mental Health Service, providing her with considerable experience supporting people experiencing complex mental health concerns.


Alongside her formal qualifications, Amy has undertaken additional professional development in ADHD coaching, trauma-informed care and neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as specialised training with Hearing Voices Victoria. She has a particular interest in supporting people to better understand their individual experiences, strengths and needs.


Amy also provides clinical supervision to other mental health nurses, supporting reflective practice, professional development and the delivery of high-quality mental health care.


At the heart of Amy’s practice is an empathetic, person-centred approach. She values creating a safe, respectful and non-judgemental environment where people feel heard and understood, and works collaboratively with each person to support their individual goals and wellbeing.

Amy oversees patient care coordination, provides administrative support to our psychiatrists and responds to patient enquiries between their consultations.
